CBTC is the first wrapped, 1:1 backed Bitcoin on the Canton network. This can be minted/redeemed to/from native bitcoin via our secure, decentralized bridge. CBTC will be used for trading, lending, and settlement flows on Canton.We have developed a BFT solution based on the decentralized-party design model, which requires a threshold of members in order to exercise an option on the DAML app, while not requiring all participants to respond (in case of downtime, malicious intent, etc).
